Show Likes Mr. Flake As we read an article, we couldn't help but realize that our family has the very same respect and feelings for Prin-1 Prin-1 cipal Almond Flake of View-i View-i mont High School that Max I Cleland, VA director, has for ; his former high school pin-. I cipal. j OUR CHILDREN, Mike, ! Kerry and Vicki Belnap, i graduated from Viewmont in J 1971, '72 and '73 respectively j and we are so grateful for the i opportunities and personal ! development they received. We feel that they received a i full education. I We have been living in Vir-; Vir-; ginia (metro Washington D.C. area) for several years now. Our other three children at tend school in Fairfax County. . Everything we read tells us that Fairfax County schools . are ranked best in the nation or next best every year, so we feel that we have a good basis for comparison. UNDER THE leadership of ' Mr. Flake, Viewmont High School prepared our children to be good citizens. Under his .inspiration the school developed high moral and scholastic standards, morale and school spirit which makes our "1st ranked" Fairfax schools quite colorless in comparison. We are grateful for the opportunity op-portunity Mike, Kerry and Vicki had in attending such a fine school; for the education, discipline.. .and fun. ..they had under Mr. Flake's leadership. We sorrow that our younger children are missing out in Virginia. If only there were more principals, leaders like . Mr. Flake, and some for Virginia. Vir-ginia. OUR DAUGHTER Vicki now teaches at Clearfield High School and holds Clearfield's Clear-field's principal in high esteem. es-teem. It would seem Davis County residents are in good hands.
