Mrs. Joseph Marshall of New York, formerly Miss Ethel Felt of this city, is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Felt. Mrs. Philip Hopkins of Kansas City, while not a native Salt Laker, lived here for a number of years ad is being be-ing welcomed back by the friends she made during her residence here. She is accompanied by her daughter, Miss Mary Hopkins, and wdll bo joined by her husband early this week for a tour through Yellowstone park. The presence of all of these visitors in the city has been the inspiration for much entertaining, causing the midsummer mid-summer season to vie with that of last winter for gayety, in spite of the warm weather. A CHARMINGLY appointed bridge tea was given by Miss Kathryn Driscoll and Miss Clara Kener at the New-house hotel yesterday afternoon in compliment to Miss Myrtle Rcilly, and August bride, and also for Mrs. Robert N. Young, a recent bride. The bridge tables were placed on tho mezzanine floor and tea was served in the Georgian garden. The guests were seated at one long table, decorated with crystal baskets oi pink sweet peas. The place cards were brides. Covers were laid for sixteen. MRS. 0. B. GREENE entertained at her home on State street yesterday yester-day afternoon at bridge tea in honor of three charming visitors, Mrs. Frank E. Doherty of Chicago, Mrs. Joseph Marshall of New York and Mrs. Philip Hopkins of Kansas City. The living room was decorated in pink and white sweet peas and snapdragons. snap-dragons. In the dining room a low howl of nasturtiums formed a centerpiece center-piece for the tea table. The hall was adorned with ferns and palms. Guests were entertained at six tables at bridge, with other guests in for tea. The hostess was assisted by her daughters, daugh-ters, Miss Myrtle Greene, Miss Elsie Greene and Miss Janice Greene, and Miss Nellie Orlauder. MR. AND MRS. J. E. WILLIAMS entertained last night at their home on Seventh East street with a lawn party in compliment to Mrs. Williams's Wil-liams's sister, Mrs. Harvey Hardy of Goodsprings, Nov.
