Hostilities have broken out between Bulgarian and Turkish Tur-kish troops along the Dedeaghatch-Adrianople Dedeaghatch-Adrianople railway, according to Swiss advices reaching here. The Turks are claiming this railway and both towns. Turkey and Bulgaria have been reported re-ported at swords points ever since the Brcst-Litovsk and Bucharest peace treaties failed to give Turkey the southeastern south-eastern tip of Bulgaria, which formerly belonged to the Ottoman empire. In view of the enforced cession of Dobrud-;ja Dobrud-;ja to Bulgaria .by Rumania the Turks have claimed they were- entitled to -St least portions of the territory taken from them in the Balkan wars, just as Bulgaria asserted she was entitled to what she lost at the Bucharest treaty that terminated the last Balkan war. Dedeaghatch is a Bulgarian port on the Aegean sea aud Aclrianople is a city iu southeastern Bulgaria. Turkey wants the railway to the part of the new frontier. |
