This -will be execcdinly fcood news to eveivono who is interested in the liroperti'es of the West Tintie and krieksnn districts. There ha.s been eonsiderable doubt as to the possibility, of the road being built this year, but the statement of' Air. .'rai clears up the .situation and assures speedy construction con-struction of the road. He says tha.t() n-ork will be taken up on the West Tin-tic Tin-tic winy withiu the next few weeks; 1hat an engineer is already on the eround find that as soon as his report is turned in. the contracts will -be let for the grading. Route Is Decided. . The route into the West Tintie section sec-tion has already been decided upon, but there, are so'nie matters which are yet to be settled by the company's engineer. en-gineer. The reason why the officials of the new road decided to commence work on the branch into the mining section sec-tion before starting tlie other branch of the road is that they will have about two months' work near Lyndyl, whore the river must be bridged before they can do anything toward the lino' which will tap the rich agricultural section sec-tion of Utah. Mr. Craig says that, the West Tintie branch of the road will be about twenty-five miles ill length and that there is a possibility of the line going right on through to the old Dugway of Uul-lionvillo Uul-lionvillo district, which is about sixty miles from Lynndyl. Will Tap Many Mines. in the West Tintie and Erickson districts dis-tricts there are nearly a score of producing pro-ducing properties, some of which can be depended upon for a big tonnage, it is not the railroad company's intention to try to reach any of these mines, but to run its line into the eentrnl part of the district in which tho producers aro located, thus throwing practically all of them within easy and inexpensive hauling distance. Quite recently much, attention has been attracted to the hiagnaneso deposits de-posits of the West Tintie section and it is quite possible that - an immense tonnage of this much desired ore in addition ad-dition to the ores carrying lead, silver i and copper, and local mining men who have been ovr that section in recent months are confident that the new road will pay handsomely right from the start; also that it will be the means iu stimulating work on the dozens of new properties, many of which will become shippers at some future date. The splendid ore showing at properties proper-ties which are now being worked and the fact that these mines are scattered over a very wide area, justifies the prediction pre-diction Uiat the West Tintie district will spme day rival the Tintie section, which has been one of the wonders of the mining world. |
