Show BUICKS TO ADVANCE EARLY NEXT MONTH Limited Stock of Models Now on Hand at Ran-dail-Dodd's. With only a limited number of six-eylinder six-eylinder five-passenger Buicks on hand in Salt Lake ready for delivery to customers, and an announcement from the Buick factory that the price of these cars must be increased not later than shortly after the first of August, iit is not particularly surprising to record re-cord the fact that the past weok hay been one of the busiest the sales force of the Kandall-Dodd Auto company has put in for months. Officials of the Eaudall-Dodd company com-pany stated yesterday that the week , has beeu one of the busiest in the history his-tory of the house. The announced raise in tho Buick price was so long in coming that the Buick remains prac tically the only American-made car of standard design that has not increased in pj'ice once, and, in many cases, twice, during the past twelve months. The officials of the RandaH-Dodd company have anticipated a raise for the past two months, and notice of the increase in prica was not, therefore, a surprise to the company. Meanwhile hundreds of prospective Buick purchasers throughout Utah and other western state's are seeking to take advantage of the present prices still being maintained by the J?andall-Dodd company, and scores of purchasers have been handled by the sales force of the company the past week. Many sales have been made and deliveries de-liveries taken of the cars, and General Gen-eral Manager A. . Tourssen of the company stated Saturday that in his opinion it will be only a question of a few weeks until the company will again be entirely out of Buick six-cylinder six-cylinder five-passenger cars. Until late in March of this year the company was entirely unable to secure any Buicks, and scores of disappointed j purchasers were turned away. j It now seems likely that this-condition will again obtain after the Kan- ! dall-Dodd company's present supply of! Buicks is exhausted.- . j |
