Show FORT DOUGLAS MAN ORDERED TO FRONT Captain John H. Stern Will Leave Post This Week for East, Preparatory to Sailing. Additional orders were received yesterday yes-terday by Captain John H. Stern, post quartermaster at i'ort Douglas, to proceed pro-ceed at once to an eastern embarkation embarka-tion port, in preparation for service at the front. Captain Stern expects to leave Tuesday Tues-day or Wednesday of this week. A few days ao he received orders to proceed to the east about the first of An trust, but in the liht of the new orders he. will have to eloso his accounts ac-counts at the post Monday and ;t iiway as soon as possible thereafter. Captain J'1. L. Fink will be post quartermaster quar-termaster after the departure of Captain Cap-tain Stern. Captain Fink has been assistant as-sistant post quartermaster several mouths. A lieutenant of the quartermaster quarter-master corps is to be sent hern to take charge of the finance department of tho office. |
