Show TOTAL TAX RATE TO BE SLIGHTLY LOWER Decrease This Year Will Be 49 Cents on Each $1000 Valuation. Unofficial figures, given out yesterday by A. H. Parsons, county assessor, show that the total tax nate on Salt Lake City property this year will be 19. SO mills, as against 20.29 last year, a decrease of .49 of a mil! on the dollar, or 49 cents on each 51000 of property value. While the state levy has not been made, Assessor Parsons has been informed in-formed that it will probably be 4.70 mills, as against 0 mills last year. The cits-levy cits-levy has been fixed by the city commission com-mission at 6.75 mills, the same as last year. The levy for general county purposes pur-poses will be fixed by the board of county commissioners tomorrow, probably at 2.7 mills, as against 2.6 mills last year, the Increase of .1 of a mill coming in the state road apportionment. The rates for the Salt Lake school districts dis-tricts of the county, including the. Salt Lake city school district, for school purposes, pur-poses, were fixed yesterday by Assessor Parsons, County Treasurer TV". W. Barton Bar-ton and County Auditor M. C. Iverson, being based upon estimates of needed revenue furnished the district boards of education. The levy for the city district is 5.(3."), as against 5. t4 last year, a reduction re-duction of .29 ot a mill.
