Definite announcement of the coming to Salt Lake of Madame Sarah Bernhardt, Bern-hardt, the world's most famous actress, was made yesterday by Manager Edward P. Levy of the Orpheiim theater. Mme. Bernhardt will be the feature attraction of the Orpheum's first regular vaudeville bill. of the new season to start August IS. Madame Bernhardt will be seen in two plays during the week of her Salt Lake engagement. She will play "Du Theater au Champ d'Honneur" ("From the Theater to the Field of Honor"), a play written especially for hor by a Frencii officer at the front, and "Camille," the famous Dumas play in which she lias scored successes in practically every civilized country on the globe. The "Camille" performances will be given a1 the Friday and Saturday matinees. Madame Bernhardt is now playing on the Pacific coast, following appearances at ninny of the Orpheum circuit theaters under the management of Martin Be Critics everywhere have declared the great actress lo be giving excellent performances, per-formances, saying that, despite her years, she is as great as ever, if not better, in her dramatic Intensiveness and the vividness vivid-ness of her characterizations.
