Show BRITISH ADMIRALTY REPORTS AIR FIGHTS Six Enemy Machines Destroyed and Eight Driven Down; Six English Planes Are Missing. LONDON, July 27. "In home waters during the period of the 18th to the 24th of July, inclusive," savs an official offi-cial communication, issued today bv the British admiralty, "royal air force units working with the navy maintained scouting squadrons for hostile aircraft and antisubmarine patrols. Enemv air- craft activity over the Belgian coast and in proximity to the English coast has been above normal and several en-gagements en-gagements have taken place. "Six enemy machines have been destroyed de-stroyed and eight have been driven down out of control. Five of our machines ma-chines are missing. "Our bombing formations have attacked at-tacked military objectives at Zeebrugge, Bruges and Ostend, more than fifteen tons of bombs being dropped with good results. "Enemy destroyers and trawlers have been attacked, a direct hit being obtained on one trailer, which subsequently subse-quently was observed to be in a sinking sink-ing condition." |
