Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and son, Horace, and daughters, Margaret and Helen, who are at Henry 's lake,' Idaho, will tour Yellowstone before their return re-turn to the city. Judge and Mrs. John A. Marshall will leave the Matter part of the week for Honolulu to remain several weeks. Mrs. Alva Lee and her small son will occupy the Marshall homo 'on East South Temple street during their absence. A small Salt Lake girl, Miss Dorothy Markel, who is doing her bit in war service by singing and dancing for Eed Cross benefits aud for the diversion of soldiers in camps, is receiving recognition recog-nition on the Pacific coast. A picture of Miss Markel, in patriotic costume and in dancing pose, appeared recently in the Los Angeles Examiner. The dancer is. tho 11-year-old daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Markel of this city aud has been spending the past six months in California. Tho Examiner says: ' 1 One of the most enthusiastic Red Cross workers in Los Angeles is Littlo MiBs Dorothy Markel, daughter of Mrs. D. A. Markel of Salt Lake City. Mass Dorothv, who has presented many fancy "dances for the different Eed Cross benefits and activities, is also a wonderful singer. Saturday afternoon after-noon she gave an entertainment at the Eed Cross fete at South Park, later entertaining at the Eed Cross Tea Shop. Miss Dorothy is also making plans to visit the different camps and wiU undoubtedly spend several weeks entertaining tho boys." |
