Show Aids Handicapped Dora Larami, of Bountiful, has been appointed to represent repre-sent Saint Olaf's Catholic Church on the Diocesan Advisory Committee for handicapped hand-icapped persons. THE COMMITTEE seeks to coordinate the efforts of all Catholic parishes in Utah in serving handicapped church members. Its purpose is also to educate clergy and lay people about the many talents handicapped hand-icapped people can share with fellow church members. On May 6 and 7 in Salt Lake City, a workshop titled "The Ministry of Christ is in Our A JL Hands," will be held at St. Vincent's Parish, 1385 Spring Lane. The keynote speaker will be Sister Rita Baum, SSJ, executive director of the National Na-tional Catholic office for persons per-sons with disabilities. OTHER WORKSHOPS will be given by Father Thomas Coyte and Sister Aurora Perez, SHF. Father Coyte is actively involved in the ministry minis-try of the hearing impaired in the archdiocese of Denver. Sister Perez works for the Diocesan office in Oakland in the area of Religious Education Educa-tion and spirituality for the de-velopnentally de-velopnentally disabled. |
