Show Lone Poplar DUP Meet The March meeting of the Lone Poplar Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers was held March 16 at the home of Thora Wallace with Edna Todd as co-hostess. CO-CAPTAIN Marie Anderson, conducted the meeting. The opening preyer was given by Harriet Richardson. Richard-son. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Myrtle Jeppson. They music was conducted con-ducted by Mona Bunting. Thora Wallace read a history his-tory of Margaret Bryson. Elaine Putman gave the lesson on two historic western trails; the Lewis and Clark Trail and the Santa Fe Trail. She tole of the importance of these early trails in settling the West. CAPTAIN Bernice Page requested re-quested that when histories are prepared for the DUP that an extra copy be prepared for the county DUP officers so these may be shared with other camps. Sue Eggett was introduced as the newest member of the camp. Those present were Marie Anderson, Edna Beten-son, Beten-son, Mona Bunting, Myrtle Jepson, Eloise Luderman, Bernice Page, Elaine Putnam, Iris Rogers, Harriet Richardson, Richard-son, Laverda Ross, Francis Searle, Edna Todd, and Thora Wallace. |
