Show Beesley Resigns A former Bountiful resident, H. Brent Beesley, has resigned as director of Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation Corpora-tion effective April 30. HE HAS served in this position posi-tion since April 1981 when he was appointed by Richard T. Pratt, chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. In the past two years, the Insurance Corporation has spent almost $2.5 billion to resolve re-solve 117 cases. Mr. Beesley was involved in negotiations of more than 100 cases with a total tot-al of $40 billion of insured deposits. de-posits. BRENT WAS born in Salt Lake City: grew up in Bountiful Bounti-ful . He graduated from Bountiful Bounti-ful High School. He was captain of the wrestling wrest-ling team, also played football, participated in school plays and was President of the Seminary. Semi-nary. HE GRADUATED from BYU in Economics and Political Poli-tical Science. He served a mission in Argentina and studied in Austria Au-stria w hile his parents were in Germany. Brent graduated from Harvard University in 1973 with MBA and Law degrees. de-grees. IN 1974 he joined the firm of Ray Quinney and Nebeker of Salt Lake City where he became be-came a partner. He taught Real Estate and " H. BRENT BEESLEY Business Law at the University Universi-ty of Utah and has an interest in a cattle and horse ranch in Utah County. BRENT ENJOYS skiing, river running, travel and mountain climbing. He is the son of Horace and Mary Beesley of Bountiful, and he married the former Bonnie Jean Matheson of Salt Lake. They have an infant daughter, Laura Jean. They have enjoyed their stay in Washington, D.C. and have been active in the Chevy Chase Ward. |
