Show Bountiful Passes License Fee Clamps Down On Transient Business i BOUNTIFUL - It's going to be a little tougher for "transient" "tran-sient" businesses to operate in Bountiful. THE CITY Council last Wednesday night approved a temporary license fee to control con-trol "fly-by-night" or transient tran-sient businesses which come into the city, usually during the summer, for only a few days or month or two. The council approved by a 4-0 vote to set the temporary license fee at $150 for each location for a maximum time of 120 days. Councilman Bob Linnell was absent. CITY ATTY. Layne B. Forbes said a temporary business busi-ness is one that operates without with-out use or association to a permanent per-manent building on the site. A permanent building was described de-scribed by the attorney as being a solid structure built on a permanent foundation - and does not include portable or shed-type structures. The council agreed that most businesses operating in Bountiful are legitimate and operate within the law. "There are only a few questionable businesses that come into the city and these are the ones we must control," said Atty. Forbes. |
