Gladys Ambrose, a 1982 graduate of Woods Cross High School, won the Queen's Award in the Miss Indian B YU 1983-84 pageant recently during dur-ing Indian Week activities at Brigham Young University. MORE THAN 500 Indian students, guests and participants partici-pants in the BYU American Indian In-dian Services Self-Reliance Conference witnessed the crowning of Miss Indian BYU and two attendants. Miss Ambrose, a daughter of Virginia and the late Ben Ambrose of Wide Ruins, :,: Ariz., is a Navajo and is major- - ing in social work. She is an avid sports enthusiast and en- il joys sewing and cooking. DURING THE week 16ng pageant, the seven contestants participated in a talent and fashion show, took part in a ' speech contest and answered questions posed by judges. .'
