Show FmrngtoM News By KATHRYN JENNINGS 451-2027 Gary Flood has been selected as second counselor to Pres. Calvin Smoot in the Farmington Stake presidency of the LDS Church. Edna Swaner accompanied her sister, Mrs. Vilate Chapman Chap-man of Salt Lake City to Downey, Dow-ney, Ida. the past weekend for a wedding reception. A niece of the ladies, Jerry Purser was married to Richard Babbitt, so the ladies joined in the activities activi-ties for several days. The Senior Literary Club will meet with Blanche Wilcox on April 14 at 2 p.m. Edward Meacham has returned re-turned home after surgery in late February. He is recuperat ing satisfactorily. Owen Bennion broke a wrist recently at his employment and is now with a sister in Pro-vo Pro-vo as he recuperates. Wallace and Ruth Gatrell have returned recently from an extended vacation and travel. They went to San Antonio, Tex. where thy visited with a son, Dr. Cloyd B. and Kathryn Gatrell and a new grandson. Haven. . The Gatrells then went to London England to visit with their daughters and families fami-lies who live near London. They were guests of Paul and Aleta Grandy and family and Gene and Tammy Van Tassell and family. After some time in the London Lon-don area, with Christmas there, the Gatrells, Mr. and Mrs. Grandy and Mr. and Mrs. Van Tassell went to Egypt and toured Cairo and Luxor. They then spent some time in the Holy Land, visiting many of the historic and holy places there. |
