Back, Edith Ogden, Jane Andersen and Meredity Chidester, leader. Crisp, golden fall weather and the shouts of laughing oris set the scene for the annual an-nual Girl Scout Fall Rally on Oct, 9 at Mueller Park. THE MORNING was spent in learning various scouting skills taught by Cadette Troop 183. After lunch, a contest was held testing proficiency in these skills, with the girls trying to win points for their individual troops. The winning troops were Junior Troop 316, led by Suzanne Burningham and Brownie Troop 418 led by Barbara McKean. A special trophy was given to Cadette Troop 183, led by Ann Zeigler, for their participation. THE CHAIRMAN of the day's events was Meredith Chidester. Cadette scouts helping in skill training were: Cindy Zeigler, Elizabeth Cooper, Wendy Zeigler, Shanna Cahoon, Katherine Cooper, Merlyn Nelson, Erin Mattes. Diane Cookson, Kim Hyatt, Violet Martin, Jane Anderson, Ander-son, Tanya Grayson, Rosalie Wright, Cheryl Roar, Edith Ogden, Alice Thompson, Jean Parkin, Angie Ostermiller, and DeeAnn Briggs. |
