Publisher Crews dumping topsoil on Sixshooter run, preparing for the new skiing season. Park West plans on expanding ex-panding services for their skiers this season, with the installation of lights on the Tumbleweed area for night skiing. Underground cable and lights are in the final stages of installation, in readying for the fast approaching season. LARGE MERCURY vapor lamps, similar to those used on outdoor football and baseball areas, will be utilized for a bright, almost shadow-free illimination of the slopes. The runs to be lighted include Greenhorn, Paleface and the bowl immediately to the north of Tumbleweed Lift. Bob Theobald's freestyle course, primarily the ballet portion, will be included in the lighted terrain. The freestyle area is immediately in front of the main lodge. With Thanksgiving slated as the official opening day, night skiing is planned to begin shortly after. CONSIDERABLE expense during this past summer has |
