Show In spite of very windy conditions, con-ditions, over 70 local golfers participated in a tournament sponsored by the Bountiful Golf Course. It was held to develop interested in the Bountiful City Men's Golf Association. As-sociation. THE TOURNAMENT was a "flight" tournament played low gross, low net. All 18 holes were played. Low gross winners: championship cham-pionship flight - B. Hancey and L. Perry, Jr. tied at 77; P. Falcon, 79. 'A' flight - P. Foster and T. Bradshaw tied at 82. I. BEESLEY, 89. 'B' flight L. Wilbur, 86; B. Harker, 90; D. Graham, 91. 'C flight - D. Smallwood, 98; J. George, 100; A. Turner, 101. Low net winners: championship cham-pionship flight - G. Rackham, 70; G. Fisher, 71; A' flight - D. Thurgood, 72; C. Class, 77; D. Uffens, 78. 'B' flight- G. Hitt and C. Sessions tied at 75; V. Randall, 79. "C flight - J. Barnes, 79; M. Sandall, 80. THERE WAS a special group for those without a handicap. Winners were K. Randle, J. Johnson, and D. Tebbs. Bountiful Springs Golf Course Professionals Bob Bentley and Jeff Brown, have found an interesting way to spend the winter months. They plan to play golf on the Asian Tour. The Asian Tour is a series of golf events held throughout Asia, Japan and Australia. Best of luck Bob and Jeff. PIERRE HUALDE, Davis Park Professional, has been elected president of the Central Cen-tral Chapter, Rocky Mountain Section, of the professional Golfer's Association. Pierre was voted in by acclamation at the chapter meeting held Oct. 7. This is the second time Pierre has filled a chapter position. THIS IS quite a tribute to a man who has done a lot for local golfers. Joey Bonsin-gore Bonsin-gore of Alpine C.C. was elected elect-ed vice president. Bob is from White Pine G.C. in Ely, Nev. |
