Show Eric Eastman Seeks VJB Seat Eric Eastman, one of the candidates for the position of West Bountiful City Councilman, Council-man, is working diligently to get citizens to come out to vote in the Nov. 4 election. The turnout for the Primaries was not as great as city officials of-ficials had hoped. THERE ARE some eight hundred possible voters. Mr. Eastman and others interested interest-ed would like to have a high percentage vote. Many new residents did not vote in the Primaries. It would be great if all citizens would register their choice. Mr. Eastman is a native of Alamosa, Colo. He attended St. George High School and Dixie Jr. College. Later he graduated from the University Univer-sity of Utah with a B.A. Degree in English. Before this time, he attended Brigham Young University, where he met his wife Lucile. MR. EASTMAN served an LDS Mission to Sweden and served in the Army. He became a Specialist 4th Class in nuclear weapons. The Eastmans lived in Sugar House for three years. They also lived in Santa Monica, Calif. Mr. Eastman enjoys the hobbies of photography, chess, and reading. His wife is active in music circles and is a member of the "Onion Street" Sextette. THE EASTMANS have lived in West Bountiful since 1971. They and their four children have "fallen in love with the area," and say this is their permanent home. They have been living in Sunnyview Subdivision and are beginning begin-ning to build a new home in Hill West. Eric is a computer programmer with the Montek division of E-Systems. He has held a number of leadership positions in his work and in the LDS Church. He is a former Elders Quorum President and is currently an assistant Athletic director in the Bountiful West Stake. MR. EASTMAN has already been involved in West Bountiful City Government in such areas as working with flooding problems of citizens of Sunnyview Estates, helping help-ing the citizens acquire more police protection, and serving on the city's Board of Adjustments, Adjust-ments, a position he now holds. He is most concerned with the rights and happiness of every citizen, and with creating creat-ing a more responsive city government, which is aware of the citizens' needs. |
