Show Farmington By KATHRYN JENNINGS 867-2027 Brent and Eileen Tippetts, 86 South 100 West are parents of a daughter born Oct. 7 in a Bountiful hospital and weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz. The little one will be named Amber and has a brother Justin. Maternal grandparents grand-parents are A. Joel and Maurine Parrish and the paternal pa-ternal grandparents are Harold and Lorela Tippetts, all of Farmington. Jared and Julie Jensen Waite have moved into the Stevens apartments on 200 East. They have a young son born Aug. 4, named Jared. Grandparents are Boyd and Margaret Jensen, Farming-ton, Farming-ton, and Mr. and Mrs. John Waite of Layton. Sam and Caryol Welch have returned from a trip to Detroit, De-troit, Mich. They drove back with relatives and picked up a new car for the family. They enjoyed a tour to see the beautiful colors of autumn in the Lake Michigan vicinity. Also stopped to visit the Amana Colonies of Iowa and the President Hoover Museum in West Branch, Iowa, returning by way of Denver and the beautiful Berthoud Pass. Ellen Trickier of Lakeview and Colleen Newey and children of Richfield, Ida. spent several days as guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Etsil Fisher, during the recent LDS Conference. They all honored Randy Fisher at a birthday dinner at his parent's home, including Randy's wife, Jean; Randy and Jean are living in Granger. Etsil and Betty drove Colleen and daughters to Malad where they spent a day with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Fisher and children. Edward teaches art and photography in the high school there. The Fishers' drove on to Salmon, Idaho and vicinity for a sightseeing tour, before returning re-turning home. The Farmington First Ward Relief Society will have a special homemaking session ses-sion on Wed., Oct. 22 to prepare for the upcoming bazaar which will be held Oct. 25 in the Rock Chapel. David DeVore of Eau Claire, Wise, is a houseguest of his sister and family, Bill and Doris Haugen. Mr. DeVore came for the wedding of his nephew, James Haugen and Diane Furtaw, whose parents are Daniel Furtaw and Sydell Furtaw. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Sipe of Rochester, N.Y., were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neumann and were taken on a sightseeing tour of the valley. The New York visitors came for the wedding of their . daughter Diane to Raymond Neumann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neumann, on Oct. 10. Ross B. and Grace Strong were joined here by their son Steven who traveled by plane from Minneapolis, Minn, where he is employed, for a motor trip to Calif. They spent a week in San Francisco sightseeing and returned re-turned here and then took Steven back to St. Paul. Mr. and Mrs. Strong then did some touring in the midwest. mid-west. They visited the Truman Museum in Independence, Indepen-dence, Mo. and visited the Visitor's Center in the area where their son Wayne has a large display of sculptured religious subjects. In Kansas they toured the Eisenhower Museum in Abilene. Delbert and Ruby Wood spent a week in Sacramento, Calif, recently. Mr. Wood went up to Washington for some salmon fishing and with success, they also visited with Robert and Glenda Van Fleet and family in San Ramon before returning home. Vince and Bessie Hogge spent one month during the summer visiting their daughter and husband, Neil and Carolyn Anderton and children in Liverpool, N.Y., near Syracuse where they are now living. The two families enjoyed a number of sightseeing trips, to Niagara Falls, along the St. Lawrence seaway, Boston, into in-to Canada and other historic areas. The Hogge's had word after their return home that Carolyn had undergone surgery sur-gery but is recuperating quite well at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Williams and Vivian Williams have returned from a visit with a brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Williams in Elko, Nev. The brothers assisted in some work at the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Williams who had moved recently from Owyhee. |
