Competition is expected, however, to get a little rougher for the CSU T-Birds early ear-ly next week when they go on the road to tackle the - tougher major college teams of the state. I Monday the squad will be In Salt Lake City for a 2 p. m. game against the University of ' Utah. Tuesday they will return to Provo where they are slated to meet the Brigham Young University Univer-sity Krosh in a game at 1 p. m. and that will be followed with a clash with BYU varsity. The BYU varsity contest Is rat- ed as the toughest the T-Blrds will have all year. ! One addition to the squad has been announced. It is Son Sudbury, Sud-bury, a third baseman and pitcher. pitch-er. Sudbury left the CSU squad during the 1962 season to tryout .or a major league club. His addition ad-dition is expected to strengthen the club defensively as well as bolster what is already considered consider-ed a strong pitching staff, Coach Petty stated. Sudbury Joined the squad this week and will see his first action ac-tion Saturday against the Rebels. |
