Show International Counselor Urges Lions Club Members to Teach Principles of Organization Wallace Osborne, International Counselor and a past District Governor of Lions International, was guest speaker at the meeting of the Cedar City Club Monday. He discussed Lionism with the members of the club and admonished admon-ished the club to begin at that level to teach the principals of the organization. "Liberty, Intelligence, In-telligence, Our Nations Safety, is the slogan of the International organization and as an affiliate club we have the responsibility to begin a program of information informa-tion and learning here," ho said. Osborne told the club members that Lions Clubs have been formed form-ed in every country of the free world. At the present time 116 different countries have Lions clubs with a total membership of over 700,000. In 1962 over 210,000 community projects were undertaken under-taken with over 100 million dollars dol-lars expended, he stated. . Ross Glass, president' of the club, also announced that the club had voted to change to a regular breakfast meeting rattier than a luncheon rneeting. Beginning Begin-ning on Monday, April 1, the cluo will meet at 6:30 a. m. at Sullivan's El Key Cafe, he said. Meetings will continue from that time to be held each Monday morning. |
