Show Iron County School Board Renews Superintendents's Contract for Term A contract naming Iajithus Wright to continue as superintendent superin-tendent of Iron County School District for another two years, was authorized at a special session ses-sion of the School board held Saturday afternoon. The agreement renews Mr. Wright's contract beginning July 1 and continuing through June 31. 1965. In addition to the contract the board also considered the appointment ap-pointment of an assistant supur-intendant supur-intendant to serve during the period in preparation for Mr. Wright's retirement, which is expected ex-pected at the end of the contract con-tract period. The board, however, specified that whoever received the possible appointment for assistant as-sistant to the superintendent would not necessarily succeed Mr. Wright but, would become a candidate can-didate for the position. Authorization to participate in moving of utility poles near the new Cedar City High School was granterd by the board. The moving mov-ing of the util'ty poles back from the sidewalk area will al- low a full six foot sidewalk for better student access. Under terms of the agreement the California Ca-lifornia Utility Co. would participate parti-cipate 50 percent in the project pro-ject and execute the change and Cedar City Corporation and the School district would share 50 percent each of the remaining costs. |
