Show Ladies o! Elks Enjoy "Irish" Party. Elect New Officers The benevolent and protective I order of Elks, Lodge number 1556 1 proclaimed and bestowed upon its lady members all rights and privileges of the Irish for the twenty-first day of March. The proclamation was signed "The Great Leprechaun" and was used as a place card for each of the lady Elk members who attended the "Irish" party last Thursday evening. Adding further realism to the event were maps of Ireland Ire-land which decorated the walls of the lodge hall, table settings which were created from drift wood, mock grass, flowers and centered with miniature Lepre-chtauns Lepre-chtauns and shamrocks. I The importance of the monthly social was the election of new officers of-ficers for the coming year. Taking Tak-ing over the duties of president is Bonnie Leigh, assisted by first vice president Donna Reid and second vice president Jo Hart-man. Hart-man. Garfae Middleton was , elected treasurer, Glowie Levan-ger Levan-ger as chaplain, Jerry Berry as reporter and Marie Memmott as historian for the organization. The executive committee elected were Virginia Miller, Marie Wool-sey Wool-sey and Wally Smith. Janet Whitehead was appointed as secretary. sec-retary. Entertainment during the party par-ty consisted of Irish Songs by Christine Winterrose. Committee members responsible responsi-ble for the March party were Ila Sherratt crfairman, Pharol Adams, officer advisor; assisted by Carma Lunt, Donna Wand, Wally Smith, Idona Jackson, Wa-na Wa-na Hoyle, Evelyn Tay.or, LeOnia Miller, Donna Reid and La Rue Gardner. |
