The Applegates showed many pictures they took on the trip. After the showing of the slides and the report, the guests enjoyed enjoy-ed refreshments served by the hostesses. Marion Woolsey, Fern Beecham, Georia Harrison, Cassie Christenscn and Laureda Prince of Newcastle were in attendance. LION LADIES NIGHT The quarterley Lady Lions Night was held during March at the Community Bunding. Tne party was in the form of their famous pot luck suppers. Kay Campbell entertained the group with his harmonica. After supper the Ladies and Lions enjoyed en-joyed an evening of dancing. 1'ne music was furnished by the Jolley-Campbell orchestra which included Mr. and Mrs. George Jolley and daughters Neita and Gloria and Mrs. Jolley's nephews, Kay and Cline Campbell. """The Lions will sponsor a benefit ben-efit dance Saturday, March 30, at the Escalante Valley Recreation Recrea-tion Hall. Everyone Is invited to attend. The Jolley-Campbell orchestra or-chestra will furnish the music. HERE AND THERE Mr. and Mrs. Gene Butler and sons Johnny and Jimmie spent a few days In Ogden visiting with their folks. Mr. and Mrs. David Love and family were in the Valley over the week end. The Loves are teaching school at Caliente, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Clark and Boyd's father, Gordon Clark, of St George, were in the Valley on business. Quite a number of residents of the Valley were at Enterprise Ia oolnhrat tha annual March 17th Banquet, program and dance. Pat Adams of Enterprise and Pat Moyle of the Valley, were in charge of the lovely table decorations. Mrs. Glenda Snow Estes and small daughter Becky of Salt Lake City visited a few days at the home her sister, Marilyn Holt and family. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hunt and family of Magna were week end visitors at the Ray Hunt home. Also vacationing was a daughter, Lucile Hunt, who is teaching in Pangultch. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Bracken of Wasco, Calif., spent the week end with Eldon's folks, the Neal Brackens. Friends of Evelyn Hunt gave a personal Bridal Shower in her honor, prior to her marriage to Marvin Bracken. The shower was given at Enterprise. Those in charee were Dixie Barnum, Ted- die Sue Twitchell, Verus Holt and mother, Mrs. Maribah Holt.
