Show CSU Spring Quarter Drama-Music Production Prepared "Beautifully ' ridiculous" are words used by Fred C. Adams, College of Southern Utah drama director, to describe Gilbert and Sullivan's "Pirates of Penzance," CSU spring quarter drama-music production. "Everything possible is being done to capture the authentic Gilbert and Sullivan flavor and to maintain the tradition of quality qua-lity opera at College of Southern Utah," Mr. Adams said. Mr. Adams will deviate from his position as director to participate parti-cipate in the opera in the acting-singing acting-singing role of Major General, a retired army officer with eight beautiful daughters. Dr. Blaine Johnson and Professor Profes-sor Roy L. Halversen of the CSU music department are directing the musical portion of the production, pro-duction, which will be presented present-ed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 3, 4, 5 and 6 at 8:15 in the CSU auditorium. A special matinee performance will be given for third, fourth and fifth grade elementary students stu-dents and Junior high school students at 2 p. m. on Thursday, April 4. |
