Show Popular Speaker To Address Knife and Fork 1 ' GEORGE BAILEY Members of the Escalante Knife and Fork Club will have as the guest of honor at their next meeting, George Bailey, a charming, charm-ing, delightful gentleman who is an able entertainer and possesses one of the oustandlng memories in the United States. He was not the man in the advertisement who remembered Addison Simms of Seattle, but that nnnamed wizard was no greater than George Bailey. According to Patrick H. Fen-ton, Fen-ton, the local president, who is in charge of the committee that Is arranging the affair, the meeting meet-ing will be held at Hotel El Escalante Es-calante on Wednesday, May 11. It is expected that a large crowd of members and their house guests will be on hand for Mr. Bailey's entertainment. It is pure escapism. There are no prob-lemts prob-lemts which have to be solved. The committee points out that all anyone has to do is to come, enjoy a good meal and be de lightfully entertained. Bailey attended Bucknell University Uni-versity for three years where, accordine to him. "Thev did the best thev could for me at that time and let it go at that." For a number of years while his older children (he has four) were growing up he was a man of manv and varied positions. While working at this and that (10 years of which were spent with the Intenal Revenue Department Depart-ment as a gauger) he gave many entertainments on' holidavs and in the evenings. The success of these impromptu adventures caused him to make the decision jto embark on an out-and-out orofessional career. |
