J Mr. and Mrs. Alan Call, newlyweds of Bountiful, Utah, took advantage of Cedar City Motel offers in connection with National Motel Week. They were given a free night's lodging a.t El Rey Motel Tuesday night as were other couples cou-ples throughout the state during Motel Week. Another couple. cou-ple. Dr. and Mrs. R. Rich Osborn of Bakersfield, Calif, also took advantage of the offer, staying at Zion Motel Monday night following a wedding ceremony in Las Vegas Ve-gas Monday morning. Ann Larsen Chosen Candidate For "Southern Belle" It has been announced that Ann Larson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Larson, former residents resi-dents of Cedar City, Is a contending contend-ing candidate for Southern Belle of Nevada Southern's "Confederate "Confeder-ate Cotillion," an annual dance sponsored by the College of Las Vegas. Miss Larson, a former Cedar City High School student, Is now attending Nevada Southern, the branch of the University of Nevada. Ne-vada. She Is enrolled as a freshman fresh-man student, Is a freshman class officer and a member of the newspaper staff. The "Confederate Cotillion" is scheduled for May 7, and will be staged at the Las Vegas Country Club. |
