Ai i-..j. i By Wayne Decker Primary election votes for student stu-dent body officers of the Seminary Semi-nary were counted Tuesday evening. eve-ning. The result showed Bevan Corry and Dayne Gardner to bo the candidates for student body president, Carol Ann Parry and Kay Ashcroft for vice president, and Charlotte Perkins and Betsy Lunt to be the candidates for secretary. The final election will be held Wednesday, May 11, in the respective classes. The next to the last student body dance will be held tomorrow, tomor-row, May 6. Spring Swing is the name of the dance. It is sponsored sponsor-ed by the student council aid will be held in the high school gym. The Starlighters will furnish fur-nish the music for the dance which will begin at 9 p. m. . Seven members of the Future Farmers of America organization organiza-tion at the high school will travel to Logan to take part in the state F F A judging contests on May 6 and 7. The students from Cedar City will take part in crop, livestock, and dairy judging contests. con-tests. The seven F F A members who will go to the judging contests con-tests are Tom Williams, Dilworth Armstrong. Clark Maxwell, Ken Jones, Galen Christensen, Bill Lamb and Bob Clark. Elmer Cox will accompany the participants on their trip to Logan. - The high school faculty is having hav-ing an extra busy week. Last Monday the Iron County Soil Conservation Service sponsored a tour of the Beryl area to show the Iron County school teachers nma nt tVio onnsprvation activi- ties going on in that area. Tomorrow night, May 6, the high school teachers will attend a party to be given bv the faculty fac-ulty of the North Elementary School for all the teachers in the county. |
