Show !Rock Club, Local SUP Chapter Plan Field Excursion Members of the Cedar City Mock Club and the Cedar City Chapter of the Sons of I'tah Pioneers Pio-neers will make a Labor Day week end excursion into the highly interesting and seldom traveled section of Utah traversed by Mormon pioneers in their early ear-ly day settlement efforts. The trek is sponsored by the Rock Club, and according to Parley Par-ley Dalley, president, members of the Sons of Utah Pioneers will also participate, as will a group of Salt Lake CPy people, members mem-bers of the Utah Mineralogical Society. The group will leave Cedar City early Saturday morning, Sept. 4, with the trep to begin af. Boulder, and go through Hall Creek to the Tossing used by early pioneers after the Hole-in-the Rock route was abandoned. On the return trip the group will cover a different route, all of which holds tremendous interest in-terest to rock hounds and mineralogists, min-eralogists, Mr. Dalley says. Among the plarvs to be visited will be the Jollv Jack uranium mine, the Water rocked Fold, Circle Cir-cle Cliffs, the Henry Mountains, and areas abounding In petrified petri-fied wood. Arrangements have been made with Randall Lvman, an experienced exper-ienced guide and frontiersman, to lead the tour and to provide transportation and food for the tout It Is expected that 35 people will make the trip.
