Show Aaronic Priesthood, Welfare Are Theme of Conference Bishop Thorpe B. Isaacson and Elder Donald D. Davis, representing represent-ing the General Welfare Committee Com-mittee of the L D S church, will be here for the quarterly confer-once confer-once of Parowan Stake on Saturday Satur-day and Sunday of this week. The conference will feature the church welfare program and the Aaronic Priesthood program, both junior and senior. The welfare meeting will be at 6:30 p. m. Saturday and the Aaronic Aaro-nic Priesthood leadership meeting meet-ing at 8 p. m., both in the First-Second First-Second Ward chapel. All ward and stake workers having anything any-thing to do with the latter program pro-gram are expected to be at that meeting according to W. Clair Rowley, stake president. Three sessions are slated for Sunday, a general session at 10 a. m. in the Parowan Third Ward chapel, one at 2 p. m. at Enoch when the Enoch Ward chapel will be dedicaed by Bishop Isaacson, Isaac-son, and an M I A session at 7:30 p. m. again in the Third Ward chapel. During the day besides the dedication of the Enoch chapel, the stake membership will be called upon to sustain a new Stake Sunday School superin-tendency superin-tendency and board, a new mem ber of the stake High Council, and there are eiht missionaries who have returned since the last conference, a part of whom will report. Two young men of Ihe stake will bo interviewed for service as missionaries. A group of Primary children of the stake will furnish special music for the morning session, and the Enoch Ward choir will furnish .special music for the afternoon af-ternoon session. The M I A program pro-gram in the evening will be given giv-en by members from all wards of the stake, wilh F. C. Van Huron being the featured speaker. j |
