Show Arrangements for Iron County Fair Near Completion; Program Listed I Special entertainment features, exhibit buildings, judges and almost all of the details have been arranged for the annual Iron County Fair which will be held in Parowan on the last two days of next week, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 3 and 4, according accord-ing to Thales Brown, fair president, pres-ident, and Arnold Gurr, fair manager. man-ager. Buss Carson and his nationally national-ly known Western Show of North Hollywood, Calif will be here for the final day of the fair and the show w lil be presetned at the city race track on Saturday at 2:30 p. m. as special entertainment for fair visitors. The show consists con-sists of dancing horses, trick riding rid-ing and roping, dog and pony tricks, musical chairs and a full line of concessions. Exhibits will be placed on display dis-play as follows: Livestock, including in-cluding sheep cattle and hogs, at the RambouilU't show barn. All others including garden and field crops, fruits, exhibits of the Wo-ment Wo-ment departments, crafts, flowers flow-ers and 4-H clubs will be housed in the Parowan High School gymnamisum. Exhibits in the homemaking department must be brought to the gym on Sept. 2 between the hours of 9 and 12 a. m.. Flowers will be received on Friday, Sept. 3 from 9 to 11 a. m.. Crops Friday at 9 a. m. and livestock at 10 a. m. that day. committee members for the various departments will be on hand to list all entries. Judging will commence at 10 a. m. on the opening day. All exhibits are to remain in the fair until 6 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 4. All 4-H Clubs of the county are urged to exhibit their work in the fair and Saturday has been set aside as 4-H club day with the following schedule arranged ar-ranged by County Agent Steph en Brower and Home Demonstra-tjftn Demonstra-tjftn Agent Emma Neilson: I 9 a. m. style dress review contest con-test judging, with costumes to be judged both on and off the girls. 9.30, livestock judging contest for both boys and girls at Rambouil-let Rambouil-let barii; 10:30, 4-H girls demonstration demon-stration contests; 1 p. m., boys' demonstration contest, and girls' j dress review practice; 2 p. m. (girls' judging contest; 1 p. m. style dross review and awards program. |
