Show H. Dwight fenson Dies Of Gunshot Wound at Ely, Nev. Heber Dwight Jenson, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver C. Jenson of Cedar City, and veteran of military service in Korea, was killed in Nevada Wednesday morning, under unusual circumstances, circum-stances, according to word received re-ceived here. I The young man was enroute home after having been employed employ-ed with a construction crew at Ely, Nev., when he became involved in-volved in an automobile accident, acci-dent, and according to investigating investi-gating officers, apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot during dur-ing the excitement following the accident. No one was seriously injured in the automobile accident acci-dent it is understood, but few details are available as to what actually happened. Young Jenson was born in Cedar Ce-dar City on Dec. 15, 1931, a son of Oliver C. and Ellen Smith Jenson, and had spent his life here except for his tour of military mili-tary service and on brief occasions occa-sions while away on employment. employ-ment. He graduated from the Cedar Ce-dar City High School, after which he entered military service, and was assigned to duty in Korea with the Army Engineers, where he received a special citation from his commanding officer. He is survived by his parents, one brother, Jay O. Jenson, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David A. Smith, all of Cedar City; and two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Laura Jane) Walker, Cedar City, and Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Mc-Bride, Mc-Bride, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held in the Third Ward chapel at 2 p. m. Friday. |
