Show City Beautilication Head Calls For Property Cleanup Eldon Yergensen, chairman of the city beautification committee commit-tee for the Cedar City Coordinating Coordinat-ing Council, makes an appeal to property owners of Cedar City to ' do part of their "clean-up work" this fall, rathor than waiting until un-til spring. Mr. Yergensen states that at the present time weeds have grown up on lots, driveways and particularly on vacant lots, that it will be necessary to remove next spring, and points out that it will be much easier to remove re-move them now. "If the weeds are cut, gathered and hauled off while they are still green" he states, "the job will be much . easier than cutU.ig and hauling them when they are dry." He also points out that in addition ad-dition to making the job easier, it will do much toward improv-iUig improv-iUig the appearance of the city i during the winler months, and also eliminate .'. fire hazard that .will prevail during the fall months if the weeds are left. , "A little work now, will save a lot next spring" he says, and urges everyone to cooperate. Protests resisting the granting of any of the foregoing applications, applica-tions, with reasons therefor, must be in affidavit form with extra copy and filed with the State Engineer, 403 State Capitol, Salt Lake City 1, Utah, on or before September 25. 1954.
