Show BRONCOS HOSTS AT TRIANGLE MEET The College of Southern Utah will stage a triangle track and field event in the Bronco bowl Friday afternoon, according to Coach Bruce Osborne. The thcee participating schools include C. S. U., Dixie College of St. George and Snow College of Ephraim. Approximately 30 C S U students stu-dents will carry the blue and white of the Broncos at the meet. However, Osborne expressed some concern over the other participating par-ticipating schools. According to Osborne, Dixie College plans to enter just a few participants and lacking word from Snow, it was questionable how many men would enter from that school. However, those men who are working out must have some competition prior to the ICA conference meet and boys who have trained for months deserve the right to compete, the coach said. The Bronco thinclads will participate parti-cipate in every event and it is expected that they will have fair depth in a number of the events. The most promising relay group is the 880 yard event which Osborne Os-borne states can be filled with Don Keeney, Karl Graff, Bill Meador and Bill Jensen. Local fans are invited to attend at-tend the meet and support the Broncos In their drive for regaining regain-ing the ICAC track crown. Last year Ricks College took top honors hon-ors after a five year dominance by C S U. Coach Osborne and his thinclads will be attempting to regain that ICAC crown this year. Following Friday's meet the Broncos will begin workouts for the annual Brigham Young University Uni-versity Invitational meet which will pit the local boys against a wider range of I C A C competition. |
