Show Officer Campaigning Occupies High School Students Campaigning is running rampant ram-pant at the Cedar City High School this week as the final drive for election of officers for the 1955-56 year draws to a close. Primary ballots were cast last week, reducing the field to two contestants for each of the three major offices and Friday, April 15, registered students at the school will make their final choice. The candidates have been separated sep-arated into two parties. On the ticket for the Crimson Knights are Bob Jones for president; Mar-van Mar-van Carter, vice president, and Kay Ashcroft vying for secretary. Frank Knell heads the list on the Gold party ticket. Vying for vice president is Marie Beck and secretary candidate Is Eleanor Grimshaw. Friday morning the final presentation pre-sentation of candidates will take place at an assembly at 9. At the assembly the campaign managers manag-ers will present their cases and the students will return to school and cast their decisive ballots on the main floor. Students will vote by secret ballot. Halls, rooms, sidewalks and every conceivable place that posters pos-ters might be placed have been utilized by the students in their promotion of their favorite candidates. |
