Show Saturday Activities To Focus Spotlight on fiutos "Spotlight on Automobiles" week, Jjeing observed for the first time throughout the country this week, April 11 through 16, will be climaxed, in Cedar City Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. when dealers In this vicinity will conduct a parade of new cars down Cedar City's Main Street. Turpose of the week long observation, ob-servation, according to Marvin Jones, chairman, has been to increase in-crease public appreciation of the Importance of the franchised new car dealer and what the business he represtnts means to the economy econ-omy of the community. The parade of 1955 models will bo comparable to the annual Easter Parade of style and class. In addition some of the dealers in Cedar City will hold an open house to mark the special event. Attention has been focused throughout the observation on the new 1955 models and the dealers who sell and service them and emphasis has been placed on the essentiality of the automobile, Jones said. Following the parade down Main Street the 1955 models of all kinds will be displayed on the south side of Cedar City Park, wheather permitlng, and will be opened to Inspection by the public. Mayor Arnold Anderson issued a proclamation proclaiming the week as "Spotlight on Automobiles Automo-biles and New Car Dealers." Mayor Anderson said that the sale and servicing of cars and trucks is a vital factor to the economic health to this community com-munity and state as well as the entire nation. . |
