Show CSU Students Prepare Greek Plays for New Auditorium i ? i v v ! i-V .4? ' ' rJ . ? . . V V,7 1 11 AiS Dramatic possibilities of the new College of Southern Utah Theatre will be demonstrated demon-strated in first plays to be presented there on Thursday and Friday, April 21 and 22. The pair of plays, "Oedipus the King," and "Antigone," by Sophocles, promise an evening of tense, fast-moving drama, and a type of drama that has never been attempted in southern Utah either by community or school drama groups. They will be staged in the classic Greek manner, man-ner, complete with chorus. The chorus and all principals will be costumed in authentic au-thentic Greek apparel. Pictures here are members of the cast, left to right, Charles Topham, Scott Jones, Sherma Ann Huntington, Dale Workman and Stanley Ivie. Both plays will be presented each evening, with the first curtain at 8 p. m. It is important that patrons be in their seats before the first curtain to avoid interruption of the tense drama once it is begun. |
