Show Circus Set For May Presentation The Circus Is coming to town. The Bailey Bros, and Cristini Outdoor circus will appear for the second successive year in Cedar Ce-dar City under the auspices of the Cedar City Junior Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, May 19, according to Von Wayman, chairman of the event. A bigger and better show will play a one-day, two-show stand in Cedar City on that date and a promotional of the entire area is being planned in connection with the event. Two of the new acts this year, according to circus representatives, representa-tives, will be the addition of eight bears, Including a Kodiak Bear, and a human cannonball act. Advance ticket sales will get under way in the very near future fu-ture with Keith Averetl in charge, according to Waman. In addi- tion to local sals a ticket sales carravan will make visitations to all surrounding townr to encourage encour-age attendance. The afternoon show is tentatively tenta-tively set for 3 o'clock and the evening show for 8, affording an opportunity for patrons from the oitire area to set one or the other. The show will again be staged on the campus of the College of Southern Utah, at the football field. Wayman pointel out that advance ad-vance ticket sales will be handled han-dled exclusively by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Merchants, Merch-ants, who sponsored the afternoon after-noon show last ye;.r, will have made available tickets for their own personal promotion in connection con-nection with the show, but each patron will be required to obtain or purchase his individual ticket. Events of this kind, Wayman concluded, are not generally available in this locality and they afford an opportunity to see a modern circus at popular prices without traveling lo the more populated areas. |
