OCR Text	Show Buckhorn Flat Road Bids Opened; Tremonton Firm Low Bids were accepted Tuesday by the State Road Commission for one of the most important road construction jobs in Iron County for many years. The contract, to be let for construction this summer, sum-mer, included realignment and complete new construction of 15.6 miles of highway across Buck-horn Buck-horn Flat, running from the new highway near the Beaver County line to just north of Paragonah. Low bidder on the contract was Germer, Abbott and Waldron, Tremonton construction firm, at $718,184.45, which Is well below the engineer's estimate for the job. The new alignment will not vary far from the present road, but will cross the flat with only one sweeping turn. As a means of combating the dust hazard In the area a 400 feet wide right-of-way has been obtained, which will be fenced and planted to crested wheat grass.
