Show Misleading statements Dear Editor: Remember the words of the poet Alexander Pope? "It's hard to pay if greater want of skill Appear in writing, or in judging ill. But of the too, less danger is the offence of-fence To tire our patience than mislead our sense." Some of the people writing in recently to the editor's page have been doing both. I'm furious what they had to say about- Lyle McKeachnie and Owen Spiers. These men have more sense and more foresight than most of the rest of us. They have worked for years to get the water needed in this valley. What have they got for their trouble? A lot of backbiting, fighting and a swift kick in the seat of the pants from too many people! peo-ple! I would like to suggest that we all quit dragging our stupid feet and get right behind them ; and we will get something done on this water problem. Let's act like we have a little bit of sense whether we have it or not. The same goes for David Rasmussen, our water commissioner. Let's all get behind him and help him get us our irrigation ir-rigation water. Thank you, Signed, ANNA KIDD |
