Show Minor injuries result from two accidents Robert Downard, Vernal City Police chief, released information concerning two accidents last Friday and Saturday. Satur-day. At the intersection of 500 West and Main, Robert N. Murray, 18, of Jensen failed to stop at the light, Sat., Oct. 25, and struck Linda L. Curry, 23, of Vernal who was driving a 1978 Chevrolet. Three passengers, Michael Bascom, 13, Nathan Montgomery, 12, and Kerri Rushin, 12, with the driver Linda Curry suffered minor injuries and were treated and released at the Uintah County Hospital. Murray, who was west bound on Main at the time of the accident acci-dent was cited with failure to yield and driving on a revoked license. He received receiv-ed no injuries. ; Damages were $3,000 to the Curry vehicle and $2,000 to the Murray 1978 Ford Bronco, renorted Mike Hamner. traffic sergeant, investigating officer was John Parker. Another accident occurred at First South and Sixth West Fri., Oct. 24. Alice Fay Richens, 26, of Vernal failed to yield while traveling north on Sixth West. She was struck by a vehicle driven by Archie Fortine, 41, of Vernal who was traveling east on First South. Mrs. Richens was taken to the Uintah County Hospital and treated for minor lacerations and bruises. Police estimated damages at $2,500 to the 1973 CMC driven by Mrs. Richens and $500 to the Fortine vehicle. Mrs. Richens was cited with failure to yield. |
