Show PW PRESIDENT IS NAMED FOR BOWLING ASSOC. Officers Are Elected And Plans For Forthcoming Bowling Season Advance Wallace Patrick was elected president of the Springville Bowling Bowl-ing Association, succeeding Francis Fran-cis M. Hazel, at the annual bowling bowl-ing meeting held at the Art Bowling Bowl-ing Alleys. Other new officers included in-cluded Ed Johnson, ' Clarence Smith, Nephi Dowdell, Roy Johnson, John-son, vice presidents; and Kay Johnson, secretary-treasurer. Del Humphrey is the retiring secretary treasurer. Also elected during the evening was the board of directors including: includ-ing: Leonard Stone, J. Lewis Bird, Josh Robertson and Francis Hazel. It was pointed out by incoming officers, that in order to have the team rosters of the association filed with the American Bowling Congress before league play begins, be-gins, it will be necessary for each of the three leagues in Springville to hold their respective league meetings and select their officers and designate their team, captains as soon as possible and not later than September -1. ' League play in the Springville Bowling Association will begin September 13th at 7 p.m. with the Merchants' teams competing. Tuesday, Sept. 14, the Inter-City league will open play and Thursday, Thurs-day, Sept. 16, the Commercial league will start. A list of teams and participants will be published as soon as entries are in, announced an-nounced Secretary Kay Johnson. Anyone interested in bowling should contact officers immediately immedi-ately for team placements. |
