Show 4-H Club Achievement Day Scheduled Monday - Next Monday, August 23, will be 4-H club Achievement Achieve-ment Day in Springville and parents of the 4-H club members mem-bers and friends are being invited to participate in the $activities. All the sewing and some cooking cook-ing articles which the 4-H girls have made during the summer will be on display at the Fourth ward amusement hall after 9:30 a. m. Judging of the articles will get under way at 9:30 a. m., and the leaders of the various groups are being asked to have all articles in place by 9 o'clock. At 1 p. m., the Achievement program will be held at the church with the club girls taking part. Awards will be made by Miss Genevieve Poulsen, county extension exten-sion agent and other interesting announcements made. Those taking tak-ing first place in the local judging will go to the county fair and the winners in the county will be exhibited ex-hibited in the state fair. 4-H clubs in Springville have an enrollment of approximately 75 members, all have taken a special interest in sewing instruction instruc-tion and other phases of club work the past season, according to Mrs. Margaret Wing, club supervisor. The Achievement Day exercises will conclude regular meetings, for the summer but the girls who place in exhibits locally will enter their articles for competition in the county and state exhibits later. |
