Show NEW NAM GIVEN PINK CLIFF IN SOUTHERN UTAH A new name is due for entry on maps of Garfield County. It's Castler Castle, bfficially designated by the board of geographical geo-graphical names, for an erosional fragment in the pink cliff formation forma-tion on the south side of Campbell Camp-bell Canyon. The spot is about one-sixth of a mile northwest of Tower Bridge in Bryce Canyon National Park. The board, in a publication christening a few hundred geographical geo-graphical points, 'including many in and about Lake Mead (Arizona and Nevada), says the Bryce Canyon Can-yon formation was named for Dr. Frank Richard Castler. He was one . of the originators of the educational programs of the National Na-tional Park Service and a member mem-ber of its advisory board. |
