Show $ : 1 Round-n-About Town Mr.-and Mrs. W. J. Smart have returned by plane from a business and pleasure trip to Portland, .Oregon. .Ore-gon. As guide designer for Geneva Gen-eva Steel Company, Mr. Smart was sent to Portland concerning orders for guide castings , While there, the Smarts took a tour of the Columbia River Highway and Mt. Hood Loop, visited among other places, Bonneville Dam, Lambert Gardens, The Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother and Vanport flood ruins. ( Golden Hanson, Vocal y Music Instructor at the high school, has recently returned from Chambers-burg, Chambers-burg, Pennsylvania where he attended at-tended a master course for Choral School. Mrs. Elifar Ferran and three children of Lumbrton, New- Mexico Mex-ico have been visiting at the home of her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Ferran Fer-ran in Springville. They have gone to Ogden to visit relatives and will return to Springville for a short visit before going back to New Mexico. .Her husband, a veteran of World War I, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Farran, died while in the service, following an operation for appendicitis." , Miss Maurine Manwaring has returned to her home after a week's visit with t her sister and husband, Mr, and Mrs Wm. R. Hill in Salt Lake City. ( Following the Black Hawk encampment en-campment at Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Wheeler and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brailsford visited Zions, and Bryces and Cedar Breaks, also the Iron Mine 20 miles west of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Thorn, Mrs. Hattie Williams and Mrs. Belle W. Childs also at. the encampment, visited the canyons in southern Utah before returning home Miss Marilyn Clegg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Clegg has returned to her home following follow-ing a two month's visit with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Miner at Portland, Ore. -She was especially interested inter-ested in her visits to the flooded areas in Washington. , Mr. and Mrs. Mark Law accompanied accom-panied by their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Law, have just returned from an enjoyable vacation vaca-tion trip to California. At Los Angeles, they met a son and brother, bro-ther, Howard Law, who was on a business trip from the Hawaiian Islands and also another son and brother, Mark Dale Law, who is employed at Hollywood. Together they -toured many places of interest inter-est in the vicinity of Los Angeles including Hollywood.. A highlight of the trip was a tour of the big steamer President Wilson, docked at the time at Long Beach. The family, while they were together, also celebrated the birthdays of Dale and Glen. Mr and Mrs. Earl Condie had as their guests last week, their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs D.- C. Erb of Richland, Wash., who were enroute to Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. During their visit, Mr. and Mrs. Condie entertained enter-tained at dinner one day for Mr Erb's father, C. D. Erb of Salt T ake City and his two cousins, Mrs Grace Ritchie and Miss Irene' Erb of Grand' Rapids. Mich. |
