Show High School Names New Basketball Coach Paul Wilson of Hurricane, has been named to be head basketball coach at the Springville high school, it was announced this week. He will replace Art Hughes, who is to be head basketball coach at the Jordan high school. Previous Previ-ous to signing Mr. Wilson, the district had signed up Brady Walker, Wal-ker, who graduated last spring from the B. Y. U. However, since signing up, Mr. Walker has turned pro in the basketball world and will not coach at present. Mr. Wilson comes to the Springville Spring-ville high with an outstanding record rec-ord in athletics. Among his titles and honors at Hurricane during the past two years, are championships champion-ships in 6-man football, baseball and particularly, basketball. His football team played for the state title last year. His basketball team won the district title there last - .year and went to the state tournament. tourna-ment. Besides being popular in the athletic field, Mr. Wilson is a graduate of the B. Y. U. and has filled a mission for the L. D. S. church. He will assist George Pehrson, head football coach, in that sport and will take over full duties during the hoop season.
