Show AYLESWORTH TALKS AT CLUB LUNCHEON Points Out Difference Years Have Wrought in the Conduct of Public Pub-lic Utilities. Drawing a contrast between the manner man-ner in which public utilities were conducted con-ducted twenty years ago and as they are conducted today as servants of the people, M. H. Aylesworth, assistant to the vice president and general manager man-ager of the I'tab Power & Light company, com-pany, delivered an interesting address before a large number of the members of the Commercial club at luncheon yesterday. Times have changed, he said, in the public utilities business, and while franchises in the old days were considered consid-ered a medium of producing great profits for a few stockholders, today they are only privileges for conducting business along lines carefully guarded by utility commissions which have the Xwer to regulate the business of the. corporations to which they are granted, i The Mct'ormack record, which has been sold at four previous luncheons, was sld again vesterday.
