One long table was laid in the banquet room of the hotel. Spring flowers formed the decorations. Mrs. Frank Corless was hostess to the Wednesday Social club yesterday afternoon after-noon at luncheon, at her home on Seventh Sev-enth East street. Pink sweet peas in a basket, with pink maline on the handle, formed the centerpiece for the table. Low bowls of sweet peas were at either end. The place cards were hand painted in Bweet peas. Apple blossoms blos-soms were used to decorate the living room. Garden flowers in pink and white formed the centerpiece for the luncheon table. Guests, in addition to the club members, were Mrs. C. Mossberg, Mrs. F. W. Mll-ner, Mll-ner, Mrs. Hampton and Mrs. Brink. Enlisted men from Fort Douglas were entertained at Neighborhood house last night. From advance reservations the prospect is for a large number of parties at the dinner and dance opening of the Country club Saturday evening. Dennis will give a reception to the members of St. Paul's Episcopal church and their friends at the new rectory, 261 Ninth East street, this afternoon and from 3 until 6 o'clock and this evening from S until 11 o'clock. A general invitation is extended to a tea to be given under the auspices of the woman's auxiliary of St. Murk's cathedral at the home of Mrs. George W. Gannett, who has recently re-cently returned from Washington and will leave' soon for California. The Aurora club will meet this afternoon after-noon at 2:30 o'clock with Mrs. Fred A. Poulson, 15S2 Richards street. Miss Becky Almond will give piano selections and Mrs. George A. Eaton and Miss Jane Cutler will give vocal solos. The club members mem-bers will do RedCross sewing. The College club will meet this evening eve-ning with Mrs. R. S. McNiece and Miss Mary Storer at their home, 1185 Blaine avenue. The Woman's Pan-Hellenic society will meet this afternoon with Mrs. George Swaner, 44 Third East street. The Women's Democratic club, Red Cross auxiliary, will meet today from 11 until 5 o'clock in the Atlas block. The Oliver O. Howard Woman's Relief corps will be entertained this afternoon by Mrs. M. "War Cake" will be the subject of a lecture and demonstration to be given by Miss Jean Cox at Community Center this afternoon for Relief societies and the general gen-eral public. The proceeds will be used to buy a Liberty bond. A. J. Knight has returned from a several sev-eral weeks' trip to California. Mrs. Knight, who accompanied him, will remain re-main for a longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard Reed have gone to New York to remain several weeks Captain Paul T. Robinson of the signal corps of the aviation service of the United States army, stationed at Vancouver, Is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Robinson for several days. Mrs. J. R. Captain and Mrs. Harold Fabian are here for ten days while Captain Fabian is on leave from Camp Lewis, American Lake.
